There are so many blessings that I am so very grateful for in my life, but the little blessing that came to mind immediately for this month's theme is my new nephew. I have had some wonderful snuggles with him and I am very blessed to have this sweet-smelling, fresh little creature in my life!
My beautiful sister-in-law with her new baby at 10 days old. He opened his eyes for us and had a look around!
*Yawn!* And now it's time for sleep again... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...!
| Please note ~ at no time was the baby left unsupported for these photos.
The images are composites ~ they have been digitally altered (all except the 2 in which mom is shown holding her baby). In the case of this image above (the stocking), there were lots of loving hands supporting him. Mom and her sister were right there with him and 2 seconds after this shot was taken, he was napping again. Darling, tiny little thing! ♥ | |

"PWICK-OR-PWEAT!" squeaked the kitty-cat! She was so brave and stomped up to every house, even the houses decorated with gravestones, giant spiders on webs, and hanging skeletons!!
"TWICK-OR-TWEAT, SMELL MY FEET, GIVE ME SOMETHING GOOD TO EAT!" yelled the red ninja. This one was not as keen on all the scary houses, decorated with howling ghosts and ghastly ghouls.... He would linger with the grown-ups, on the sidewalk, surveying the scene and declaring "I'M NOT SCARED!" but not actually approach the house until he'd seen how his little sister fared....!!

PLEASE STEAL THIS PHOTO!!!
This is the only time I'm ever going to say this! Probably....! "PLEASE put this photo on your Facebook page!" No need to tag me or mention my website or acknowledge me at all - this is nothing to do with me. (My watermark is only on it in an attempt to stop any malicious or inappropriate use of any part of this image.) But for those who want to use it in support of this BRAVE BOY, please do!!
So, here's the deal: Justin just had BRAIN SURGERY. He has been dealing with physical and developmental challenges for 6 years, as a result of a tragic car crash. I've written about Justin and his amazing family before (see links below), because they are incredibly STRONG and INSPIRATIONAL people.
There is nothing more iconic than the yellow school bus when it comes to "Back to School" in the USA. It's what most of the Kindies I know were most excited about, when they started school for the first time this fall! Interestingly, statistics show it's also the safest way to get to school, especially for teenagers. Long live the yellow bus!

Sometimes something beautiful unfolds before your eyes and you just know you need to capture that moment! Tonight, after a hot and busy day, this little one plopped herself down on the lawn, in the shade of a tree, and just ran her arms up and down, feeling the lush, cool grass. When I approached her, she said dreamily, "the grass is so soft!"
Whenever I see this picture, I'll remember that moment and this little one, this summer, at 3 years old.
